Brian,
Thanks for sharing this message. It's really great hearing about the successful weekend of racing the Cheetah. A big congratulations to you and your team.
Did you get any video?
I'm sure that you know of the BS Levy's report in the latest Vintage Motorsport. You and the team deserve the recognition. Nice photos too.
I'm glad that you mentioned next year's KCup. You guys have to drive Sears.

Best to ya,
Dave

I'm a little belated in getting this out but I wanted to echo Jason's sentiments about executing Kas' mantra to perfection. The weekend threw high temps, humidity, storms, wind, and all manner of other obstacles our way but thanks to quality prep and execution we came out on top against much bigger teams with much bigger checkbooks. As crew chief Jason did a flawless job of getting the equipment there and ready to go. More importantly, it remained ready to go all weekend and we never had to scramble or panic. We were prepared and nearly first to grid each time. As a driver it's great to not have to worry about whether or not the car is up to the task. I was able to go wheel to wheel and nose to tail (inches) with some tough drivers and some beautiful seven figure cars knowing that I could put the car where I wanted/needed it to be. Fellow FOT member John Reed was able to make it up for part of the weekend as well. John's input on race starts in particular had a big impact on my development over the past several years. I am always learning and always listening - especially when the person doing the talking took his GT6 to victory so many times over all of those years by employing those same tactics.

Thanks again for all of the kind words. Now we just need to get Jason his K-Cup in 2016!

Thanks for all the emails about support for our Cheetah team over the weekend. That was great!

We won the whole damn thing! Our hard work and attention to all the details paid off and some of our faster rivals were beaten by equipment. But not us! Our Cro-Sal Cheetah roadster was force turning a 2:22.1 in qualifying (103 mph average speed)
Furthermore, Brian drove a perfect weekend even in heated dices against pro drivers. One was Jeff Kline (started in an a TR4 in 1965 and went on to race with Paul Newman and in IMSA GTP) who we finished second to in the qualifying race.
Brian hung on and drove a perfect run in the Feature Race an finished first overall!
Top step of the podium at the biggest Vintage race in the Midwest.
We couldn't be happier! Three cheers for Brian and us little guys. That's the first Major race win for a Cheetah in 50 years since it won the Road America 200
Back in 1965.
