[Fot] LBCs at Solo Nationals

If you’re an SCCA member and drive an LBC race car, there’s a new place to play – come to the SCCA Solo Nationals Sept. 10-11. We are trying to create a new “Heritage Classic” class primarily focusing on smallbore cars from the ‘60s-‘80s – LBCs to be sure, but also smallbore cars from Fiat, Datsun, and others of their ilk. Many (not all) of us were G Prepared up to last year, when the Solo Board simply deleted the class. They said we could go back to D Prepared – been there, done that, already well proven we cannot compete with Miatas and the like. So we created HC with a car list that includes several cars beyond what was in the old GP (including TR4s and Spitfires) and, kinda in protest, we’re all entering in D Modified (we don’t want to create more trophies for the overdog DP cars). Right now we’re almost half the DM class and we’d love to see a few more. FOT drivers very welcome! We’re also planning a cookout, a group paddock and special awards for the top HC cars.
