Yes, I did it and gained 0.5 inches.  You can just swap the A arms on the
same axle, no need to swap side to side.

I have heard you can also invert the wishbones and swap sides ( left to
right ) and I was wondering if anyone has ever done it.

Just by some rough measurements I should be able to gain an addition 5/8" of
shock travel with that alone.
