Listers,
Does anyone know IF you can get Spitfire MKII Front Coil springs, Lowered
about an 1" inch, but at a spring rate close to the STD springs?
I have a set of STD springs on the GAZ adjustable spring perch shocks.
However, the adjuster nut is almost at the bottom of adjustment and the
shock eye bush. The car is still higher than I would like it. BUT, it has
the perfect spring rate for ever day driving as it's my wife's car.
I though the STD springs would be a little too long. But it was worth a try.
The STD spring rate I think is 150lbs as per below chart.
So maybe 180lbs in a 1" lowered would be perfect. I guess the MK springs
would be worth a go at 7.4" in height VS the 7.8"?
I have tried the Rimmer Brothers 200lb spring. And that really screwed the
front-to-rear balance of the car. I have the STD rear spring in. They are
supposed to be a 200lb rate.
Any advise, greatly appreciated.
Many thanks
