Hi Mike,
Too bad about the flywheel. I'm not sure I would use it. It will get really hot in that spot and could crack. The hot spot could cause other problems too.
I'd say he owes you a flywheel.

Picked up my crank, flywheel etc. last night after having balanced. The machinist made a mistake while trying to balance flywheel and pressure plate on crank. He and the shop I work thru said it will not cause any damage to friction plate.
Do you think its ok to keep using it, pictures attached.
I use stock TR4a Sachs pressure plate and TR6 friction disc.
