The grease is critical - I once used something slicker than the ARP stuff, and stretched one.  Called the tech line and they pointed out my error and sold me a $40 bolt.  I wonder if the Pauter rods use the same little bolts.

Yes they are the same, SPS bolts. I was thinking they were 3/8" but it's been a while since I've checked them. We torqued them per the specs, with an inch pound torque wrench. I like to use ARP thread grease on them too.
