Light is good, the lower the moment of inertia the quicker the car will 
accelerate. You should see the flywheel I just built, 3.5lbs. I made enough 
parts for 10 flywheels. They will be for sale soon.

I get the weight loos benefits but what about strength, 18 is pretty darn 
light??

Moldex 25#  target weight for mine is 18#. I have cut 2 or three of our 
Moldex cranks down to 20#, what a pain!

The minimum order is 5, 4 are spoken for. The price is $2500 each, $2300 for
a
10 piece order and 14 weeks on delevery. These are not Moldex boat anchors.
