I have been using the tri-metal bearings from British Parts Northwest in my 8k rpm (ony when needed) Spitfire for 2 seasons. No issues.

Subject: [Fot] Another Oil Pressure Question
Thanks to everyone on the list who have sent me suggestions relative to the
oil pressure problem I am having with the TR-3 engine I just rebuilt. I am
working through them one by one, and today I made some progress. At full
temp, the pressure at idle was 20 psi (up from almost zero last week). Before
I tear into the lower end, I thought I would get a good set of rod bearings on
hand. The ones I put in the engine were standard size bearings from Moss.
Back when I was racing (pre-1998), Vandervell bearings were generally
available (but becoming scarce) and it appears there are none available any
more. Does anyone have a set of standard size Vandervell rod bearings for a
TR-3/4 that they would like to sell? Or, what rod bearings are people
currently using in race engines, and where can I find them? As usual, I'm
sure this group will have some good ideas. Thanks.
Jack
