For what its worth (not much, since I wont be able to help organize from the
left coast or Maui) I think Thompson Speedway sounds cool. I watched my first
ever road race there, probably circa 1964. Went there in a BRG TR3 that
belonged to a late friendCarl (Bootsey) Oates. Id almost certainly haul
Peyote and Nero to race there.

If someone ramrods this, I suggest they try to find an event with timing that
offers other races on the way or returning from a left-coast and midwest
(whatever the hell that means) tow. Its a lot more enjoyable to do two or
even three events as you amble back and forth. I wouldnt mind doing a
Pittsburg Vintage GP event again, though the venue is probably pretty hard on
cars. I had a great time there on the All Aluminum Tour, the racing, the
venue, and the events surrounding it were super fun.
