I opened the door on tube shocks and drew attention to myself. Didnt mean
to.

It is my understanding that the 1963 GCR in SCCA allowed tube shock
conversions, but have never researched it myself.

Scroll down to see someone who did research it.

I shouldnt have suggested that my conversion was 'illegal'. I dont really
know.

Anyway, as a non-organization of non-rules, we are self policing. So it is
left to the sanctioning body and their tech folks to determine was is right.

Good time to mention: One of the factors in determining the KASTNER CUP
recipient is TRIUMPH preparation to period specifications, during Kas'
regime. Note the word recipient as the 'winner' might be avoided in this
case.

strictly legal, i know, we ended up with RATCOs tube shock conversion.

THEN I RECEIVED THE FOLLOWING............

If you look in the 63 SCCA GCR, you will see tube shock conversion as an
accepted mod for the TR4 in Production class. I checked that out before I
bought my car, since my car had a tube shock conversion. It was Bill Dentinger
that pointed me in the right direction to find that in the GCR.
