By the way, if anybody wants one of the early Spitfire header tanks, I have
two of them.  They might need the seams soldered but otherwise are in good
shape.

I think here is a confusion going on.

Expansion tank - tank that is under pressure and keeps extra coolant in
store. Needs to be the highest spot of the system.

Overflow bottle - catches the forced out water. Needs to be lower than the
filler cap.
