[Fot] Southwick rear end

Hi Mike
Most of us have the Southwick rear axle conversion in our cars.
The axles
themselves are quite easy to take out - undo the horseshoe shaped
plate that
bolts to the flange and pull. The bearings should be the sealed
type, and the
axle tube may also have a lip seal to keep differential oil
from getting to the
bearing.
If you call Bob at Southwick he will have the
replacement part #'s for you.

Good luck
Dennis
My TR4 I just
bought has a Southwick rear end and limited slip. The axle
seals are leaking,
probably from sitting for a few years and that is why my
rear brakes are
contaminated.
Two questions:
1. Are the seals a different size or
type than on a stock TR4, if so,
where do I get them, and
2. Since
this is not in my trusty Haynes manual, how do I remove the
axles?
Thanks
Mike
