Hi Doug,
With 2 complete different ignition systems swapped in and out with the same
exact results ?? Thats distributors, wires and coils. Caps and rotors do
check out ok. I'm also going to try different plugs though I did swap the
current plugs around with no difference.
The puzzle continues,

Bob,
Checking valves is a good idea. Is the distributor cap new? I'd check it out
with another one. I had a bad one out of the box a couple of years ago.
Swapped
the old one back in and cleared up the problem. The quality on some stink.
