There would be two lengths of threaded tubes, one for TR3 and one for TR4.

After that there are differences with the bolt patterns of the mounting
brackets.

The biggest obstacle is moving it up in priorities for the initial production
run.

Me too.  But I think the TR3 is at least an inch or two narrower at that
point, so it would take quite a bit of range to cover both.
