I think you are talking about "Phantom Grip".  It amounts to spring loade
blocks that are installed between the spider gears and is supposed to create
a limited slip diff.  

Trust me, it is more "Phantom" than grip and the people who have tried it
and think it does any good are falling for the placebo effect.  I tried one
and did not see any difference in that and running an open diff.

Hi Gang, has anyone heard of or used a thing called Firm Grip? It's supposed
to be a quick and easy limited slip setup. $130 or so.
I remember the old saying: If it seems too good to be true, it usually is.
