[Fot] Zinc Additive.

Glenn, I know your question is about additives, but why not use
something like Valvoline VR-1 synthetic? It's not terribly
expensive, has lots of ZDDP, shouldn't need an additive. I do have
to special order it, they only seem to carry the non-synthetic
locally. Less than half the price of Redline or such.
I always figure that the oil company itself can do a better job with
the additive package than anything added in later. It's what I use
in my race motors.

"6.Which oil has more zinc/ZDDP: VR1 or "Not Street Legal" racing oil?
Valvoline VR1 Racing Oil contains .13 percent of zinc and .12 percent
of phosphorus compared to the Valvoline "Not Street Legal" Racing Oil
which contains .14 percent of zinc and .13 percent of phosphorus."
