I may as well throw in one food for thought too...I bought a 20' Haulmark
enclosed tlr..Its great for all the aforementioned reasons...however,when i
got it I sold my open one which reduced the net outlay by $1000 at the
time....great then but have regretted selling the open tlr ever since because
of the ease and convenience of using it around town or hauling just about
anything for myself or friends/family. I wish I had kept it....try having a
tow-motor load a used lathe into your closed tlr...my ramp wont hold
that...etc. etc., Rick

Thought I'd chime in here too. I tow the Spitfire in a enclosed 20'
Pace behind a 28' Winnebago. It works great for the most part and
allows us to stay at the track which we have always liked. The average
mileage drops about 2 mpg from 9.3 to 7.3 when towing. Gotta drop a
gear on hills and a strong headwind coming at a slight angle from the
front (North Dakota) will drop the mileage even further and make the
driving intense. I shredded a rear tire on the trailer going to
Laguna Seca last June for the Kastner Cup race and didn't even know it
until someone pulled up beside me and waved and pointed.
