[Fot] use of BRONZE GUIDES

Moss sells in Europe aluminium-bronze guides in their TT range.
Clearance is 0.0035'' according to TR Enterprises in the UK, they use these.
Fitted in my (Tr3) head and reamed to 0.0033'', engine still on the bench so
no ROE (return of experience).
Any thoughts/comments?
Thank you and cheers!
Alex

 Outstanding posts on this subject.

Thank you everyone.

RISK MANAGEMENT.....with the information made available, so far, folks can
make a more intelligent decision about who they have do their heads and be
able to ask better questions.

Thanks again....keep the comments coming. It's good to see the FOT LIST
alive and well.

It might be good to know the trusted source of the best bronze guides.

I was about to make a post very similar to Greg's posting. I explored this
with my trusted machinist after watching several instances of stuck valves
in
TR4 heads. He explained that it was the silicon-bronze guides that were
causing all the trouble and recommended going to the manganese-bronze as
Greg has stated. I've had no issues with that advice. Knock on Wood ;-))
