[Fot] Oil line flushing

As I have not yet flushed my oil lines out from engine failure, I too would like
input on the best way to clean out the oil lines. I thought about a water hose
with a strong nozzle. I also thought about running the hoses through my parts
washer with kerosene. About a dozen times each hose?
Comments?

Subject: [Fot] Oil line flushing

FoT,

I'm considering building a tool that will flush oil lines, brake lines and
fuel lines while left in the car.

This can be accomplished with a harbor freight parts washer and some adapter
fittings, hoses and filters.

The part I'm hung up on is the solvent used. My first thought was denatured
alcohol because with compressed air

used after the flushing any residue would easily evaporate. Two things came
up, flash point and erosion of rubber lines.

If anybody has any thoughts on such a tool that won't blow up, eat rubber
lines and won't leave residue please jump in.

as always,

jim g
