Joe,

I don't know about the vintage sanctioning bodies, but PRI already sells an
IRS conversion
for the Spitfire. Around $1350US.

Subject: [Fot] Spitfire rear suspension mods in Vintage racing

Do any of the vintage sanctioning bodies allow the rear swing axle setups to
be converted to a more conventional (like twin A-frame) type of suspension?
Or are you stuck with the swing axles? I ask because the thought of
offering an upgrade consisting of the lower control arm and split axles
with a CV joint has recently come to me. If there is a reasonable demand, I
might explore further to see how much I could offer it for.

Racers could use it if it is not outlawed, but street cars might find it
attractive if it doesn't break the bank.

Thanks,

Joe C.
