Thank you Barr! Yes this is the sheet that came with the (new) set and where
I came with the max figure of 40lbs.
So I will stick to that (and maybe purchase the stretch gauge).
Cheers!
Alex

Find the markings on the top of the rod bolts and call Carrillo's tech
people. Actually, hang on a sec....

I'd torque to the value set in the chart, not the stock number.
Carrillo told me the bolts are "good for the life of the rod" - but not if
you over-torque them, I'd imagine.

I just had to answer this question on the Carrillo rods in my Spit and found
this on their web site. Find the markings on the bolt heads and this chart
will tell you the torque.

You might want to ask someone more savvy than I, but I wonder whether you
might want to be sure that your rods were last reconditioned with the bolts
torqued at the same value.

Amici ! Currently building a TR3/4 engine with Carrillo rods.

The set came with the stock Carrillo bolts (called by them WMC/H11) and the
tech sheet says they must be torqued max 40lbs.

While the stock rods and bolts usually are torqued at 60 lbs.

So should I torque the Carrillos at 40 or 60 lbs then ?

Amici, thank you for your very valuable input (as always)!

Cheers

Alex
