[Fot] Coil recommendation

Chris-

I have run a similar setup with similar issues. I installed a "ballast
bypass" to a switch on the dash. Bypass the ballast to start and then open
the circuit to run through the resistor. It was not something that you could
forget to do as the toggle I used was a "momentary" switch, ie. you had to
hold it on while starting and as soon as you let go it opened that circuit.

Why are those silly electrons so important...you can't even see 'em...

I cannot recommend to use the resistor which does come with the Bosch coil.
he resistor gets hot and its value rises from 1.6 to 1.9 Ohms.
f so then you have trouble to start the car when it's hot during a race.
he coil itself is doing very well.
I replaced that resistor with a 1.5Ohms 25Watt unit which works fine so far.
ut I carry a replacement of 100 Watt if the 25W would fail one day.
Cheers
