Some quick highlights from the Midwest:

Bill Dentinger was holding off a bunch of Sprites and other Triumphs for
several laps in the sprint race and it was a real sight to see him dive bomb
a bugeye after "the jump" Bill you still have it!

Dennis DeLap's TVR 2200S Is really a beautiful car. Look for this thing at a
track near you! The fact that this car exists out of a vision in his mind to
emulate the cars he loved as a kid is inspirational to say the least. This
home built classic is a sight to behold and really captures some unique
glimpses of days gone by.

Similarly, Tim and Ryan Murphy have really outdone themselves as far as
preparation goes! Their car is really well prepped and they surely make it
clear from their presentation that they do not plan on being beaten by
equipment. Ryan had a real good go from my viewpoint passing many cars and
getting faster all weekend.

Tony Drews... In a class by himself. dominating group two with fast times
and solid podium finishes. Nice job Tony... doing us proud!

Bob Wismer... Solid runs having fun in his TR4 and getting philosophical
about tractor development at the well attended Beady Eye "wine and cheese"
-thanks guys!

Me: I feel good! It was a looong weekend for me. After replacing the entire
middle section of my car over the last month. (new custom flywheel, new
trick clutch, rebuilt my starter, new bellhousing etc... I was a little
nervous going in and quickly became one with the track and car. Everything
was working and I was going fast... for about 15 laps. Then in typical GT6
nonsense... I lost 3rd gear in a rattling grind of disaster. I went back to
the paddock and took the trans apart to find 3rd gear with only 2 teeth on
it. After consulting my peers and in a effort to Never be Beaten By
Equipment... I drove home 3 1/2 hours to steal a trans from my dad's street
car. I snagged it and drove 3 1/2 hours back to the track. I prepped the
trans and pulled my old one finishing at 1:30am. Got up early and installed
the new one! I only missed one Qualifying Session. The car worked great and
starting from the back of the pack for three races on Sunday. I drove the
car to a personal best time for the track finishing at about the middle in
group 8 and in the middle of the Trans - Am race. This is my hobby. I race a
Triumph GT6.

A great weekend for all us Triumph Guys!

Thanks for listening.
