[Fot] oil leak solutions

Are you sure?
My feel is that these patches doesn't soak much oil.
My intention would have go to teyna lady or pampers to stop that smoking.

But I'm free to try everything: Where should I stick that patch?
Exhaust, gearbox, or engine block?

Smoking can be remedied.  There are several products that help you stop
(patches for instance).  But leaking can't be preventet.  Only discretionary
pauses in places where people can't see you can help with that!  :)
