I've know Dick and seen him race for about 50 years I guess and he always been fast.  He was the fastest driver in the first practice at Riverside Raceway at the  first Runnoffs 1964 event and surprised everyone. (me too).He was also a GREAT engine builder.  During the Competition Dept days he was the only East fellow with an engine dyno.  He and his mother used to run his repair shop and made excellent powerful engines. I see that he still knows how to make the power. Good guy too.
