I remember when we removed the TriChlor tanks at work and replaced with the
ultrasonic cleaners...it was horrible.B You could just drop parts into the
trichlor and they came out warm, dry and grease free.B B with the ultrasonic
tanks it takes a bit longer, and you need to make sure there is a rust
inhibitor in the rinse tank.
We do not allow ultrasonic on some components at work, primarily assemblies
because the ultrasonic cause the parts have high frequency impacts and can
cause damage.B
With a carb set, it might not be that big a deal and ultrasonic will do a nice
job in cleaning.B
If you are going to use on steels, rust inhibitor is a must or you will get
corrosion almost as quick as you take it out of the tank.
