 The "Standrive" / "Triumatic" used a "Newton Bennett" centrifugal clutch, and
solenoids and servos handled changing gear (push the switch on the end of the
shift lever and then move the lever as you would a manual gearbox). In fact,
it was the same gearbox otherwise. All rather clever if complicated, and
apparently somewhat troublesome over the years.... ;-)

Did those transmissions have a torque converter as well as a clutch like the
old Chrysler products from the 1950's?
