[Fot] Anyone seen a head like this?

Below are two pictures sent to me by someone who just picked up what he 
thought was a TR2 low port cylinder head.

What is really strange is that there is a raised flat surface between 
the second and third studs on the ports side.  It looks as though it was 
intended to have something mounted on top of the head alongside the 
valve cover.

Has anyone seen one of these heads before?  Any idea what vehicle it was 
originally intended for?  Could this be a Ferguson tractor head?   Any 
help identifying this head would be appreciated.  The new owner hopes to 
bolt it to an early TR2.
