[Fot] Fuel cell size

Hello friends, 
I'm in the market for a fuel cell for my TR3 race car. What is the typical gallon size used for TRs. I've seen a few cars with 8 gallon tanks and a couple with 10 and 12. ATL makes a cell called the "Well Cell" that is 22"dia. and would fit nicely in the spare tire compartment. They have an 8 and 12 gallon size. Both are 22"dia. but the 8 gallon is only 6" tall and I think it will fit without cutting the trunk floor out. The 12 gallon is 9" tall which is more typical. I'll still have to cut the floor for the fill plate with the 8 gallon, but I think it will look pretty "sano". Any thoughts on the subject would be appreciated.
