[Fot] Dual- row timing gear for small-crank Spitfire?

Scott: All the agreeing/disagreeing over the amount of mass added aside, if
you want the double chain it requires more than just adding and double row
crank sprocket, double row
cam gear, and the wider tensioner. The double row crank sprocket did not
appear on the TR6 until the second year, and all six cylinder journels are
larger then the Spitty small journel . If you want to use that sprocket you
need to modify the sprocket to fit the smaller journel crank by adding an
insert. In the past Russ Moore has made some for the group, but, any good
machine shop can do the same if Russ no longer does them. Just purchase the
crank sprocket, cam gear, chain, and tensioner for '70-'76 TR6.
Thanks - Ed

you have to buy the 2row timing gear and and tensioner....I don't think
it does any good but add weight.Use a "NEW" cam wheel and crank gear and
chain and tensioner.

For those of you running the small-crank Spitfire motors, what do you use
as a lower (crank) timing gear when using a two-row timing chain?
