[Kas Kastner]

Sam's car is a mixture of Triumph and other parts for certain. I have done a
long story on his car for the book I am working on.  Some of the things he has
done and how he did them are really brilliant. His competition has had the
advantage of over 30 years modern technology  and study (make that comparison
in engines) and who also have the SCCA regulations in their hands.

The SCCA is the party that determines the regulations, and all Sam has done is
bring a really nice car up to the standard that these regulations seem to
admire.

It is truly wonderful to see Sam rewarded for his hard work, great driving and
perseverance over the years to be the CHAMPION. In addition, he won it in
conditions where a cool head takes precedence over modern car engineering. It
is indeed a pleasure to know Sam.
