Amici...

While the number of road racers in general, and vintage road racers in 
particular continues to dwindle, one has to look with a jaundiced eye at yet 
another sanctioning body throwing their hat into the ring.  Having said that, 
I've always been a big fan of Bobby Rahal, and have raced at the same vintage 
events with him on several occasions.  He's impressed me as a Class Act.  I 
recall him standing in line...just like everybody else at registration, 
driver's meetings, etc.  In the 1980s his dad used to race at VSCDA events, 
especially Grattan.  Interesting if this announcement 'bumps' HSR from having a 
Watkins Glen Event, and I too can't help but wonder if Mid-Ohio will be a 
subsequent announcement, as Bobby Rahal has always been very close to the 
Mid-Ohio connections.
