Yes, but the Spit box will fit the GT6 :-)

There are some detail changes (spring mounting) and some component changes in the later rear axle, 
mostly for the better (as I recall, the stub axle shafts are bigger diameter). I'm open to the 
Spitfire 1500 diff, too, since that's what was in the car (and got chewed up).
