[Fot] Quaife dog gears

Moss Europe is selling the CR gear sets TT2210 again and the loose gears for
Explodo-Pop transmissions like Lunkers. At 390 pounds they cost about $650 a
set before shipping. Last time I bought one it was around $550 but methinks it
is worth the money. As for installation it's the same deal, you need a good
TR6 gearbox to for all but the 3rd and 4th gears with a minor case
modification. If you can rebuild a TR tranny, you can build the Dolomite Close
Ratio version

The dog boxes are great, but they are not bulletproof, I dropped one right at
turn 1 at Pacific Raceways--peyote wound up with it's front end in the air
plowing the infield with what was left of the gearbox. And don't forget that
you need a good TR6 gearcase to install the set into, and installing it isn't
trivial, though nothing as ugly as building a good stocker CR box.

money down the drain with the Dolo/6 set I broke in Portland [still haven't
investigated the damage]. I actually might step up if we could get the 5+
price.
