Well, maybe distantly...

The garage where I built my first Spitfire race car is going to go under the
wrecking ball/foreclosure after the owner recently passed on.

It has a large inventory of NOS VW parts in the back. His family has asked
myself and a few of the other 'old guard' to see what we can salvage from
the facility to help them out.

What I really need is the VW equivalent of Ted Shumacher. Anyone know
someone who might be interested in picking up a garage load of NOS spares
and other parts?

Most of the spares are engine bits, but we stumbled on 5 boxes of very early
Bus/Beetle glass headlight covers still in the original wrapping paper and a
few boxes of bearings old enough to be labeled 'Auto-Union'.

Alas, my TR250 engine is buried behind the rearmost Transporter and is gonna
have to be just about the last thing out of the building. So it goes.
