[Fot] Starter Query

Hi,
I have a hi-torque starter on my TR6. Last SAT, I ran the cam in. The
motor got a bit hot owing to the electric fan being wired backwards and
there was a bit of air in the system, but it never overheated and boiled
over.
At any rate, after I ran the cam in, I shut the car off for about 10 min.
I then went to restart so I could drive the car back into the garage and
the starter did NOTHING when I punched the button. Concerned that maybe
the motor had locked up, I put a wrench on the crank and it turned
freely...
So, I wound up pushing the car back in the garage (it's amazing how hard
it is to push 1975 pounds up-hill about 3 - 4 inches over 35 feet by
yourself).
Last night, the starter button worked okay.
Assuming nothing else, has anyone seen a problem with the hi-torque
starters (this one is 9 years old) where the unit does nothing when hot
but otherwise works okay?
I know this seems pretty basic, but I figured I'd ask.
