[Fot] spitfire tranny

Thanks to those who gave me the info regarding my spitfire tranny...You guys
were right on the target...the clip ring in front of 3rd gear had slipped
forward..40 cent part...it was worn on one side...then finally came loose when
i shifted into 3rd..everything else looks perfect....not a speck of metal
filings/grindings, whatever, and the gear teeth look like new....about 120
hours on the tranny....I use VALVOLINE synthetic gear oil..80 wt.
