Absolutly true and in our own ranks no doubt. I found it difficult to buy 87MM
forged pistons but the supplier had plenty of 89 MM sets due to the demand
from racers..

This is where the vintage racing gets very confusing, and can be very
disheartning to those of us with Truly period correct cars...and of course,
we have no National Governing Organization....I would bet that there is much
more rule breaking/bending/outright cheating in vintage than there is in
SCCA Regionals and Nationals....because there is no real controlling group..
