[Fot] tr6 o.d./gearbox assembly

i'm having problems getting the "a" type o.d. unit back on the gearbox.the  
unit slides on fairly free until the last 1/2" where it gets stuck. the gearbox 
 is standing on its nose for assembly. the female splines inside the od are  
lined up and the cam is not yet near the pump roller. i took the od off to do  
gearbox work and everything in side is the same as when it was removed.
any suggestions? thanks, ken m. tr3 racer
