I was right about the film. A British Leyland news release about the film says: "Phil Hill and David Hobbs will be pace car drivers and Grand Marshalls at the SCCA run-offs at Road Atlanta, Oct. 31-Nov. 2."

I'll dig around and see if I can find something definite. Phil had been involved with the press introduction of the XJS which came out in fall, 1975 as a 1976 model. Phil owned one of the first ones delivered. It might also have had to do with the British Leyland film "America's Only Champion" made to honor Phil's winning the F1 Championship. Mike

Mike,
Any insight into the attendance at the party by Phil Hill?
How did he happen to be there?
