Actually, around here there are many farmers who seek out the whey as a
source of protein for their livestock. Especially for sheep producers.
There's also the residue left after the manufacture of tofu that is likewise
utilized.

Given that most cheese-makers have to pay to dispose of whey, that might be
an interesting micro-source.

Butanol.  95% of the fuel value of gasoline.  More octane. Capable of
