[Fot] Front shocks

Hi all. I have a question for the brain trust here.  I discovered a broken
shock (off track incident) last weekend on my racing Spitfire so I'm
looking for a new set of front shocks. The car originally had Konis but
exact replacement of that model was priced way out of line. I've run Spax
on all four corners for 2 years and I have no hesitation going back to
another set but I thought I'd ask your collective opinion. One other brand
I'm considering is GAZ.

Anyone Pro's , Cons or Alternatives to these brands?
