[Fot] Trying to mount an electric fan on a high density radiator

Back in my TR-3 racing days I did all the tests of the fan mounted to the 
crank.  We were not allowed to remove the fan, but I found I could flatten 
the blades enough that I got almost the same result.  This did require some 
serious heat to the hub.  Racers will always be ahead of the rules makers.
