[Fot] spitfire woes

Take a look at the inside of the fuel hoses. Sounds similar to a problem a
friend had years ago. A small flap was cut on the inside of one of the
hoses and when the fuel flow got to a certain point, the flap closed just
like a check valve.

Folks: My 1296 pulls easily to 7000 rpm, slowing 90 hp on the chassis dyno
and Fuel/Air at 13.0. At 7,000 I abruptly lose 20 hp and the fuel/air goes
to 17. I get the same affect on 1 1/2 and 1 1/4 SUs. Any ideas? Dale
