Ask him for a POSTAL MONEY ORDER non refundable down payment..of say..$500.00...tell him that he can deduct the cost of overnighting it to you(about 15.00) for his trouble..then you're safe...any post office can verify the postal money order...A CASHIER'S CHECK DOES NOT PROTECT YOU..your bank will credit you and then come back at you in about 2 weeks...

  I received an inquiry on my TR4, which is listed on race-cars.com, from a T A Moser from Washington.

  However, the wording in his note makes me think it is a scam. He wants to buy the car and go racing "right away". The guy claims to be ready to call the transportation company if I accept his offer. He hasn't asked a single question about the car, and I'm convinced that any serious buyer would be asking me for more info and documentation.

  Has anyone in the Northwest heard of this person?
