[Fot] Danica Finally won

Didja hear Guthrie on Wind Tunnel last night? She told DeSpain that long ago
she predicted it would be, counting from her Indy debut, another two
generations before a capable gal could get a ride in top-shelf equipment and
win -- then noted Danica did it in a generation and a half so a little ahead
of Guthrie's timetable.
And DeSpain also noted those who scoffed that she only won because it was a
fuel mileage race (Hey, Helio was on a fuel mileage strategy too but Danica
did it better). I can't help but think that in NASCAR the big question was
what's happened to Hendrick this year, then Jimmie Johnson won last weekend
at Phoenix on a fuel mileage strategy and everyone crows "Hendrick's back!"
Either way, It's racing.
