A friend of mine in Santa Monica, CA has been ordered to demolish over
50% of his non-compliance building after 20 years of use. Amidst the
incredible wealth of British parts that have to go is a pretty complete
GT6+ that has been in outside storage for many years. If a home isn't
found very quickly the car will be crushed.
No history on the car and probably no paperwork. The car has a
mismatched bonnet with it, with metal covering the turn signal holes.
There is also some lettering indicating that it may have been a stalled
race car project.
The car could be restored, but a lot of bits such as lamps are missing
so I would not jump on this as a candidate for a lick of paint and sell
for profit.
The car is very buildable and although stored outside as typical in CA
it does not have much, if any (I didn't examine the car fully). It just
looks disreputable as all heck.
I did my bit and hauled home a charity case MGA coupe yesterday. Is
there anyone in the L.A. area that can give this jewel a home?
If seriously interested, please contact me and I can give you a contact
number. I want to vet the calls, as this guy is overwhelmed enough
without having to deal a lot of information calls.
thanks
