My dad used to say you had to drive TR3s a little like you are on a dirt
track - this is the first time it made sense to me in a world where we are
told if you are sideways you are slow...

I always as thought the  way to drive a TR-3 FAST was to stand on brakes
HARD,
throw it sideways into the corner to finish the braking job and then get back
in it HARD. That is my favorite style of driving and it worked really well in
the TR-3.  I called it driving "over the door", either looking over the
passenger door, or the drivers door, in every corner.  Pure fun.
