Earl's makes a hose end that adapts to hard lines.  You screw this cap 
into the hose
end housing and compress a rubber sleeve over the hard line.  I've got 
maybe half a
dozen in stock at the shop, haven't used them yet.  The whole 
contraption seems a
bit too bulky to mate -6 hose to SU or Stromberg carbs, but I did use 
one once to
put a flex line on a stock gas tank pickup tube.

Boy, 6+ degrees and sunny here in Salt Lake, I HAVE to get a Triumph
of some sort on the road!
