I was sure hoping to make it to what sounds like a great event at a
wonderful track.  However, 3 weeks ago, my equipment didn't just beat me, it
gave me a thorough thrashing.  I fired my engine builder (me) and am going
with a pro.  It's highly unlikely that the new engine will be done in time
to make Miller.

It's really a shame since I was looking forward to not only racing at a new
facility with a new group of folks, but mainly getting to know some of the
FOT group.  My car is the only Triumph that routinely races in the Oregon
Region vintage group.  We end up pitting with all the Spridget guys and I
think some bad Juju is rubbing off on the Spitfire.

Maybe next year.
